MAN is a famous fashion house in London with the hands of three designers Per Gotesson, Feng Chen Wang and Charles Jeffrey. Opening this year’s fashion week, MAN impresses with designs with avant garde style. Per Gotesson’s costume was introduced first. The designer brought wheeled wooden frames to the catwalk and the models posed motionless in the frame, next to tightly packed sacks.
One by one, the models left the wooden frame, catwalking with exaggerated costumes typical of avant garde. Emerging in the mid-1970s, avant garde is a style that upsets all common values, shocking with extravagance, difference and weirdness. Per Gotesson’s boys wear clothes that are oversized in both width and length. Hoodie, shirt, high waisted pants… in turn are fully shown with nude, black and red color palette.
